The Spark That Started It All
Our Story: The Spark That Started It All By Emmanuel Mwamba “Innovation isn’t waiting for anyone—not even students.” At university, we’re surrounded by knowledge. Lectures. Labs. Textbooks. But many of us quietly wonder: What’s it really like to build technology people actually use? Could my skills solve real problems, not just exam questions? Do I have what it takes to work alongside professionals? These questions keep many of us awake at night. Because deep down, we don’t want our skills to stay locked in notes or assignments. We want to create. To innovate. To be part of something bigger than ourselves. That’s why the idea of internships, hackathons, and tech opportunities feels so exciting—and so intimidating at the same time. We know they’re the bridge between what we learn and what we can build. Between dreaming and doing. Our story isn’t just about chasing grades. It’s about chasing possibilities. It’s about preparing for the day we’ll step into rooms where ideas become products, and where technology changes lives. And even if we’re not there yet, we’re already taking the first steps. Learning. Practicing. Exploring every opportunity we can find. Because innovation doesn’t wait—and neither should we. About the Author I am a Software Engineering student, a Web Developer, aspiring Tech Innovator, Strategist, Preacher, and Cybersecurity Enthusiast as well as Founder & CEO of a startup EICTA Technologies Ltd. I’m a passionate technology enthusiast and student, driven by curiosity and the belief that learning should go beyond the classroom.
