Your time will come
Open your eyes wide, my sister, as you step onto the grounds of the University of Zimbabwe. This chapter asks not for the heart’s whims, but for the mind’s clarity. Let reason be your guide. There will be moments when desire outruns provision—when what the heart wants, your parents may not meet. Even then, wrap yourself in gratitude. Treasure what you have, for the greatest gift is already yours: the chance to be here, education paid for, a future being built. You will walk among those who seem to have it all—clothes, wheels, effortless luxury. But remember, my sister: breathe, stay cool. Their journey is not yours. What is given to them, you will earn. Kumhanya handiko kusvika—rushing does not guarantee arrival. Your time will come through your own diligence. Do not trade your integrity for shortcuts; the price is always higher than it seems. And through it all, do not forget the road that brought you here. Hold close the memory of the long struggle, the sacrifices, the relay run from where you began. You have come too far to lose your foothold now—not when the finish line is already in sight. Walk steady. Work hard. Stay true. Your story is only beginning. what small title can l choose
