Sometimes rejection is redirection
It's All About Perspective: From Rejection to Redirection I used to call it a "forced gap year". Forced because I had a plan and things didn’t go according to it. Finish A-Levels Get 15 points Go straight to law school... I got rejected. And for the longest time, I couldn’t see past that. I questioned everything my worth, my ability, my dreams. I wondered how I could have all the “right” marks and still feel like I was missing something. But here’s the truth: What felt like rejection was actually redirection. Once I stopped seeing that gap year as a delay and started viewing it as a season of preparation, everything began to shift. I gained experiences I never planned for I worked in sales, met incredible people, gained emotional resilience and most importantly, I thought deeply about my purpose. I asked hard questions: - Do I really want to study law? - What kind of lawyer do I want to be? - What does success look like for me? I don’t have all the answers yet but I now see the bigger picture more clearly. That gap year became a chance to collect the puzzle pieces I didn’t know I needed. Perspective changes everything. Rejection isn’t always the end. Sometimes, it’s the beginning. To anyone feeling behind, lost, or delayed you’re not off-track. You’re just being prepared in a different way.
