UZ Orientation Week 2025 Reflections
What a week filled with learning, connection, and inspiration at the University of Zimbabwe ! Day 1: Kuziva /To Know/Ukwazi Dove into the university's structures and support systems, meeting the guiding faculty leaders . From campus safety to exploring the library and academic departments, we laid the groundwork for success. Day 2: Kugona /To Master/Ukwenelisa The Vice Chancellor's inspiring address set the tone for a day of discovery. Sessions on financial literacy and leadership unveiled exciting opportunities.The financial literacy sessions motivated me to open my first bank account,growth.The talent show later bought energy and creativity to the stage. Day 3: Kuita /To Do/Ukwenza The dynamic sports gala brought everyone together through athletics, football, volleyball, and more. It was a powerful reminder of teamwork, participation, and healthy competition. Day 4: Healthy Mind in a Healthy Body The week was concluded with a focus on wellness through engaging health talks, student drama, and club registrations. A vital reminder that mental and physical health are essential for success! Key Lessons Learnt: Proactive engagement lays the foundation for success Curiosity fuels growth You stand out by contributing in meaningful ways. Taking care of mental and physical health is essential for success Understanding financial management is crucial for personal and academic growth I'm grateful for this enriching experience and excited about the journey ahead!
